A Health and Wellbeing Framework for the Social Care Workforce

30/11/2020

Do you work in social care in Wales? Social Care Wales would like your views as a member of the social care workforce who play an important role in supporting people in the community.

The delivery of social care is completely dependent on people like you who have continued to provide quality care and support through these most difficult and challenging of times. Everyone understands the immense pressures you have been under and the care, dedication and commitment that staff like you have made every day. The health and wellbeing of the workforce is now even more important.

Social Care Wales has placed health and wellbeing at the forefront of its workforce strategy and has asked Practice Solutions to help develop a health and wellbeing framework.

This project will shine a light on health and wellbeing and how it is measured. It will also consider what you expect of your employer and, in turn, what your employer expects of you, the priorities for good health and well-being, and what more needs to be done to improve it.

Your views are important in making sure this health and wellbeing framework reflects what the workforce need so that you are properly supported.

We are putting in place a variety of ways in which you can say what you think about health and wellbeing and other factors which create a good working environment and culture. Please look out in the coming weeks for opportunities to give your views.

Should you have any questions about this work or the opportunities to give your views, please do not hesitate to get in touch – wellbeing@practicesolutions-ltd.co.uk or contact me Glenda George directly on 01443 742384.
