We plan to transform the big exhibition space at Venue Cymru into a place where people can see and try new technologies for themselves. We have a range of flexible pricing and a limited number of free spaces for small businesses, voluntary and public sector organisations who wouldn’t be able to attend otherwise.
To apply, please complete the form below and send to nwrich@denbighshire.gov.uk by 5pm 11 December 2024.
Alongside the exhibition space we’re planning an exciting programme of speakers and workshops.
Prefer something a bit quieter? How about sharing a poster at the event? We’ll have space for posters in a room where people can take a break from the noisier spaces and browse posters with ideas about how technology can help meet people’s care and support needs.
These could be speakers, workshops or posters about things like…
- Tips for using everyday technologies to help you live the way you choose like using a smart speaker or mobile phone to remind you to take your medication.
- Ideas for making sure that when technology replaces people we don’t lose out on opportunities for social connection.
- Mobile phone apps that you can use to help improve your health and wellbeing.
- Digital storytelling.
- What is Artificial Intelligence (AI) and what does it mean for social care?
- Advice on rolling out new IT systems in a care home or for care home providers.
- How to help your organisation and your staff get ready for a digital future.
Please don’t be limited by the suggestions above, we’d love to hear your ideas for speakers, workshops and posters about digital social care.
The audience will be people interested in finding out more about using technology to meet their care and support needs including:
- people with learning disabilities
- children with complex needs including children cared for by the local authority and young carers
- older people, including people living with dementia
- people with mental and emotional health needs
- people who need support with mobility, hearing and/or sight loss
- People who provide care including unpaid carers (friends and family carers), home care workers, childcare workers, care and nursing homes, children’s social workers, family support workers and more!
- And people who commission or manage care services who want to find out where to invest to make best use of their resources.
To apply, please complete the form below and send to nwrich@denbighshire.gov.uk by 5pm 11 December 2024.
