Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) – sharing, and supporting the use of the best available knowledge and evidence about what works in social care and social work.

Developing Evidence Enriched Practice (DEEP) website – information about the DEEP principles and approach, projects, the methods and tools used in DEEP and upcoming events.

Community Care Inform – Children’s and adults resource centres with in depth information for social work practice.

The Social Care Elf – Quality research, policy and guidance relevant to UK social care.

Research in Practice – Supporting evidence-informed practice with children and families, young people and adults.

IRISS – Scotland based, ensuring relevant and accessible information for the social services workforce.

CES – Ireland based, connecting people with evidence and knowledge and capacity to evaluate.

What Works in Children’s Social Care – Setting standards and generating the best research into what works for children’s social care.

List of What Works Centres – Other topics that may be of interest include; wellbeing, homelessness and improving quality of life for the elderly.

CASCADE – Publish briefings which are short accessible summaries of research findings, also provides information on research projects and links with the what works centre.

Academy of Fab Stuff – Examples of good practice/innovative projects, includes a social care filter.

A Healthier Wales toolkit – A Healthier Wales is the Welsh Government’s long term plan for health and care in Wales. It encourages health and social care organisations, on a national, regional and local level, to develop new ways of working together to improve the response to local needs.

ONS – Statistics related to the economy, population and society at national, regional and local levels.  ONS (office for national statistics) also have a tool which compiles official statistics relating to adult social care across the four nations: England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales.

StatsWales – Detailed official data about Wales.

Infobase Cymru / Data Cymru – Provides data on a wide range of areas.

Health in Wales – Links to sources of health data by topic or by type of data.

Public Health Wales – Publishes data and evidence on a range of public health topics.

North Wales Economic Observatory – Economic data, demographics, employment, qualifications, education and Welsh Language skills data.

Education Workforce Council – Data about the education workforce in Wales.

Social Care Wales – Data related to social care services, this data is also available on Data Cymru.
