Volunteers wanted for co-production values group

10/07/2019

Many of you will be aware of the work that the transformation team is involved in as part of driving forward the North Wales Learning Disability Strategy. One of the goals of the strategy is to co-produce and develop a consistent value base to be embedded across the whole workforce in North Wales.

To kick off this process we ran a couple of workshops as part of the launch event and we are now wanting to take the process forward and develop some groups to genuinely co-produce and own an overarching set of values.

I am therefore looking for volunteers to be part of a coproduction values group. My plan at the moment is to run three groups initially based in the east, central and west and then bring the three groups together at the end of the process. I am therefore looking for volunteers from professionals, parents and carer’s, advocates, the voluntary sector and people with learning disabilities to all work together. It is really important to have a balanced group.

If you want to get involved and support the project in developing these values, please could you drop me an email to Sian.croston@flintshire.gov.uk and confirm whether you would want to get involved in the east, west or central groups. I am hoping to set up some workshops over the summer so we are ready to start working on rolling them out in the autumn.

Any queries or questions, please drop me an email!

I’m looking forward to hearing from you.
