The North Wales Commissioning Board work plan for 2019/20 includes the following activities:
- Standardised (locality baseline) data sets and outcome measures, providing intelligence to support service redesign
- Joint / integrated commissioning framework guidance – best practice / minimum standards; to include decommissioning policy and transition planning
- Review implementation and effectiveness (across adults and children’s services) of North Wales Quality Management (and escalating concerns) procedures
- Support review / revisions of Standard Operating Procedures when these become a barrier to integrated working, for example Continuing Health Care (CHC) and medicines
- Maintain overview of commissioned care market risks
- Market engagement in agreed priority sectors (including social value organisations), in conjunction with Workforce Board
- Review of (citizen, ‘service user’ and carer) engagement and participation structures and policies
In 2018/19 our successes included:
- Producing (with engagement of service providers) a market position and shaping statement for children and young people’s care placements
- Negotiating North Wales’ full membership of 4Cs
- Producing a progress report in regards support for and development of Social Value organisations in north Wales
