Recruitment and skills workshop

05/06/2019

Your local Social Care Workforce Development Partnership together with the Regional Health and Social Care Partnerships are holding two events in June 2019 to listen and discuss the issues you may have in relation to:

  • Skills shortages (difficulties in recruitment and/or retention)
  • Skills gaps (need to upskill your workers for registration, regulation or specialisms within your business)
  • Access to training or education
  • Shortages or opportunities in education and training

We are working with the Regional Skills Partnership to try to influence and direct education and skills funding to address some of these gaps. Members of that Partnership will be at the events to lead the discussions and hear your comments. There is a real commitment to try to work together to improve the situation.

Social Care Wales will also attend and present their current work around The ‘We Care’ Recruitment Campaign. They will be keen to share with you how it can help and support you in some on these issues.

The two events have been arranged as follows:

26th June 2019, 1.30pm – 4pm, venue Ty Menai, Bangor LL57 4HJ

27th June 2019, 9.30am – 1pm, venue Unit 14, Optic Centre, St. Asaph Business Park, St. Asaph, LL17 0JD

Places are limited.
