Lead Organisation: Regional Partnership Board
To develop the North Wales Carers Strategy, we collected carers stories and case studies. The main themes were:
- The isolation of the caring role
- Stress experienced by carers
- The value carers place on the support of third sector organisations and local authorities
- The impact of the person cared for’s well-being on the carer’s well-being
- Carers’ need for breaks
- Carers’ need for information
- The need to be employed, or to return to employment
- Rural issues
