Health and Care Learning Wales

City & Guilds/WJEC will be the sole provider of a new suite of fundable Health and Social Care, and Childcare qualifications in Wales which will be offered to learners from September 2019.

Timeline of reform

To help prepare centres and learners the following activities are planned:

April to December 2018

During this time City & Guilds/WJEC will be hosting a series of consultation activities to discuss the qualifications content and assessment in more detail.

City & Guilds/WJEC will submit draft qualifications in stages to Qualifications Wales – draft versions will be available over this period of time.

Autumn 2018

City & Guilds/WJEC will be holding training events for centres wishing to deliver the new qualifications.

September 2019

New suite of qualifications to be delivered to learners.
