National Social Care Conference update (September 2018)

18/09/2018

We had a great time at the National Social Care Conference in Cardiff last week.

We had a stand promoting the work of the Regional Partnership Board and its delivery groups including commissioning and workforce boards and the North Wales Safeguarding Board.

Regional Partnership Board's stand at the conference

It was a fantastic opportunity to talk about what we do and find out more about the good work taking place in other parts of Wales.

A special congratulations to:

  • The North Wales Safeguarding Adults Board who received a highly commended certificate for the work they’ve done to develop a regional self-neglect protocol.
  • Conwy County Borough Council who won the Accolade for ‘better outcomes by learning and working together’ for their  project with Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board and North Wales Police aimed at lowering the risk of sexual exploitation of young people.
  • Flintshire County Council who won the Accolade for ‘excellent outcomes for people of all ages by investing in the learning and development of staff’ for a cultural change programme to improve the lives of older people in care homes, embedding “person-centred” practices
